The Hacker Who Helped the FBI… Then Became Their Worst Nightmare

He helped the FBI hunt hackers… then became the man they were hunting. This is the incredible story of **Max Butler**, better known in the cybercrime underground as **Iceman**. Long before becoming a major figure in the world of stolen credit cards and underground marketplaces, Max was a gifted hacker whose technical skills brought him into contact with federal investigators. His knowledge of computer networks and hacker communities made him valuable to law enforcement. But somewhere along the way, everything changed. Max went from teenage hacker to security expert, from FBI informant to cybercriminal, eventually becoming deeply involved in an underground economy built around stolen financial information. Under the name **Iceman**, he became associated with **CardersMarket**, a notorious marketplace connected to stolen credit card data and online fraud. But while Max was trying to stay ahead of everyone else, investigators were quietly closing in. Aliases. Hidden servers. Undercover operations. Stolen cards. Months of surveillance. And eventually… one final login. In this documentary, we follow the extraordinary rise and fall of Max Butler and explore how a man who once helped law enforcement understand hackers eventually became the target of a major cybercrime investigation himself. This is more than a hacking story. It's a story about intelligence, obsession, power, trust, and the dangerous line between understanding a system… and believing you can control it. Watch until the end to discover how investigators finally tracked down *Iceman* and brought his cybercrime empire crashing down. 👍 LIKE the video if you enjoy true cybercrime documentaries. 🔔 SUBSCRIBE and turn on notifications for more incredible stories from the hidden world of hackers, cybercrime, and the internet. 💬 What do you think?
