Gambians, the ball is firmly in your court. The future of this nation rests in your hands, and you must judge for yourselves what is happening before your eyes.<br><br>It is no surprise that yet another so‑called professor has jumped ship to join the ruling party. What a shame an utter disgrace. How can someone who spent their entire career as a staunch critic of the government suddenly flip overnight and embrace the very system they condemned? What has changed for these people? Many citizens see this as opportunism, not principle.<br><br>At a time when the country faces serious challenges, Gambians deserve leaders who stand firm, not individuals who switch sides for personal gain. This is why many people argue that a UDP‑led alliance represents the most credible and serious alternative for meaningful change. They believe it is the only organised opposition bloc capable of confronting corruption, strengthening institutions, and restoring trust in governance.
