  I think the problem in Las Vegas is that most casinos are catering to only the high end spenders.

  If someone you don't know comes up and starts talking to you.. assume they're trying to scam you.

  Made the mistake of getting some free cosmetic cream on face. Got talked into buying $1000.00 worth of products that I rarely use. These people sell for a living and they are very good

  I did the $20 rule last month at Circa.  I arrived at 10am on a Sunday and gave them a twenty with my ID and Credit card.  I got early check in no charge and coupons for six Champagnes at the roof top bar. (I did not ask for theses) I was also able to get a quiet room overlooking the California Hotel.  It was very quiet.  Another scam is an Uber driver offering to take you somewhere and you didn't request them.  I have seen this in the past.  They offer to take people from one location to another for a cash price.

  If you get to your hotel early, you can still "check in" and leave your bags with the bell desk. Half the time they will still text u before that 3 o'clock hour to come get your keys and go to your room. You can even get a pass to use things like the pool if you get there early.

  As an entertainer here, while walking down the strip,  a common approach from scammers is they’ll ask you for a rolling paper, or a lighter. It’s just a way to size you up, see if you party. Always wear sunglasses and DO NOT speak back. Take your hand and do the back and forth across your neck, implying “ absolutely not”. There’s signs right in the bus stops for the 301 bus( strip bus) saying beware of pickpockets. Always have your wallet etc in your front pockets. Don’t be buying gas at Arco or anywhere near the strip, Charleston, etc. and stay off your damn phone texting. Pay attention to your surroundings. I see people waltzing pass the Stratosphere walking North, face buried in their phone all the time. Scammers aside, it’ll be 104 here today, so if you think you can walk from the Sahara to the Bellagio drunk, you probably can’t.

  I bring a mini coffee maker in my suitcase. They are a one person cup like they used to have in the rooms. Doesn’t take up much room and a couple days pays for the coffee maker!

  We were their last October. I've heard if you tip the check in people they will maybe wave the parking fees or lower your resort fees or something. I gave them 50 bucks and got nothing
