  My children are Gen Alpha and I literally wake them up every morning by flicking their lights and going NOSFERATU! I cannot express how pissed they were when I told them they were a bit too young for the new film yet because "how can it be too adult, they put him in Spongebob" 😂

  I really think Aaron Taylor Johnson killed it as Harding. As a man in a crumbling society, all he would&apos;ve had to cling to was the manners and customs he had built everything around. I really appreciated how intense he was. <br><br>Also, Kaz your vibe is impeccable in this video. 10/10

  When I was walking out of the theater after having seen Eggers’ Nosferatu and being in absolute awe, I walked past the next room in the cinema and saw that the crossroads scene was playing. I snuck in and watched it again. Had a great time.

  If there’s one thing I can trust Eggers to do, it’s correctly understand the historical context in his films. From costumes to dialogue, he is SO clearly meticulous about his research, and it’s such a breath of fresh air in an industry that tends to be kind of “whatever” about accurately representing history on screen. He’s out here giving me unrealistically high expectations for every period piece from now on

  Thank you for making this video! &nbsp;I didn&apos;t realize that Nosferatu&apos;s &quot;We don&apos;t need Dracula. &nbsp;We&apos;ll make Dracula at home.&quot; origins were largely unknown. <br><br>Also, I still love that Eggers&apos; movie is possibly the best adaptation of Dracula ever put on screen.

  And then there&apos;s Shadow of the Vampire (2001), also with Willem Dafoe as Max Schreck, who&apos;s portrayed as an actual vampire whose secret is only known to Murnau (portrayed by John Malkovich). And as an added bonus, there&apos;s Batman Returns (1992), whose aesthetics are heavily informed by a German Expressionist sensibility, topped off by Christopher Walken portraying a villainous Gotham businessman with the name Max Schreck. As portrayed by Walken, Schreck bears more than a passing resemblance to another real life villainous &quot;businessman&quot; whose awfulness will resume in full force very soon, with the very real nightmare prospect of history repeating itself yet again.<br><br>A lot of intertextuality here indeed...

  it&apos;s crazy how art, especially films, have always been at the risk &nbsp;of being lost, i will always support copying and archiving media because even in the digital age these companies cannot be trusted
