  Italian here; married to an Irish citizen. I add a couple of beef marrow bones and a crushed clove. I make this for St Patrick’s day. We drink a good red wine from Bordeaux; of course; we are in France. Bon Appétit!

  Just so you know, when it comes to Guinness, it is all about the foam. If I didn’t finish my Guinness before the foam was gone in Dublin, my friends would say it was bad and get me a fresh draft. Made it really hard to keep track of alcohol intake! 🤣
