Love your videos. But this is exactly why when i started my hotshotting company i got 3 trucks and 3 more people. We take turns with 1 person staying home and digging through the loadboard for us while driving. Anytime you are sitting, you aint making money. Definitely dont take every load (theres a lot of bad ones) but if i grab a load to go 100-200miles and it covers my fuel and gets me to a big pay day, i will take it every day of the week. I hate sitting and waiting. Thats time away from the family and time im not making money. Just a double dose of fck that.

With Insurance, Vehicle trailer costs, Fuel and Maintenance I can imagine the hustle is real esp. for someone starting out. 👍

That would be so cool and potentially so frustrating as well but if I was single without a family this would be the life! I salute you sir, keep fighting the good fight!

Have you ever worked with the vehicle board, Central Dispatch? I'd grab inoperable Co-Part cars going anywhere for cash on delivery to add onto small dimensioned "dedicated" loads, or to run short in order to get to a great load.

Got a bundle of non tarped drill bits sitting low and in the middle? Grab a 2$ per mile four wheel drive and park that sucker on top!

I gotta say I am a huge fan of what you are doing. Spreading knowledge while entertaining. I currently work for a large tech company and am planning a career change in prep for getting replaced by AI. Seriously considering hot shot trucking but would like to get my feet wet by going Non-CDL with a F250 and a 30' trailer. Your transparency and knowledge is much appreciated, keep it coming and be safe out there brother!

Good morning ! I recently went from part_time tractor trailer to a local manufacturer that delivers their product with their own Private Carrier Hotshot F350 trucks and goose necks . They were having trouble getting CDL drivers to pull their 48 ft goosenecks . From Mississippi the first load was a , Miss. with first stop in Anaheim and final in N. Hollywood , Calif. Left out on Friday afternoon , delivered 2 stops on Tuesday morning in Calif. and back to Miss. Friday morning . Being a Private Carrier they very seldom do back hauls , unless it is their on products returning .

In my early days of driving truck , going thru a construction zone trucks were limited to 5 or 10 below the speed limit and posted. If you went so much as 1 mph over there was a good chance of getting a ticket. A driver knew where these zones where and what state they were in. Somewhere in time drivers started ignoring those signs . Mostly because I believe the states catered to 4 wheel traffic. I would only do the speed limit because sometimes you don’t see people working close to the travel lane. You’re out there to earn a living not please other impatient drivers. Just stay in the correct lane as instructed by signs or your speed.
