She was a lovely woman. She rented our small house for six weeks while she was in a play at the Dennis Playhouse on Cape Cod. She was there with her husband and a maid.

Tragic ??? Died in her 90s, rich and famous. Lived better and longer than most. While talented and deserving, her life wasnt tragic by any means.

There was nothing tragic about Claudette, Colbert, I worked with her in the 1980s. There was nothing tragic about her as I say again. She was a movie star and she always looked and acted like a movie star. Should live down that island with another woman. You can make what you like out of that. But there's nothing tragic about her life. She was a beautiful woman. Even in her 80s, she was beautiful. I did a show with she and Rex Harrison called the Kingfisher. No tragedy there

I saw her on 86st. nyc in 1990s getting her passport photo renewed. She looked the same as she did in 1934. All dressed in white fur. Lovely.

something must have gone wrong in the cutting room. The story of Barbara Baekeland is tacked on at the end of the Claudette Colbert story. For this reason, some of the comments that lack context seem ghastly. The Baekeland story is made creepier by the AI portraiture. Ms. Colbert was phenomenal. I wish the video's producer would split up the two stories.
