I live in Buffalo, New York and 6B zone. I had grown Texas cactus that someone had given to me years ago and I planted it in the ground in the yard and it grew year in and year out for probably a good 6 years. The woman who gave it to me had it grown all over her backyard that she brought back from Texas. We never covered it up. It just got snowed on and then it was there in the spring again and it got beautiful yellow flowers on it.

Great episode! This week I’ve been trying to choose which native perennials I’m going to add to my garden space. It’s so exciting! <br>Also, I’m in New England and would be so down for a garden girls retreat!

Girl u just gotta train him that we don't eat dirty. U say no no yucky and be consistent and he'll give it a rest. I wish there was a better way but that's the phase lol some kids are in it longer than others. My first took forever my second was like o ok and stopped right away. Emphasizing that it hurts the plants helps too. Good luck!!

I really want to make my garden a place. Like not just beds but have some things around the garden that come back every year. Some bushes and things. I just have no idea how to do that because I am so ill informed about plants other than edibles.

Has anyone else heard that this winter is going to be especially cold and ivy with this nino thing that is coming? Just wondering if anyone else is doing any prep for it and have you even heard of it?

I'm in NC, Wilmington area and I have those asian jumping worms everywhere. They are in my raised beds and in the ground. Idk what to do to control them.
