  He wasn&apos;t joking about the Titanic. &nbsp;There are wildly different statistics reported for the total number of people onboard. Most sources cite 2,224. &nbsp;What isn&apos;t disputed however, are the survivor statistics. It&apos;s clear that 74% of women and 52% of children survived but only 20% of men. The mostly male crew had the highest casualies in sheer numbers, but only 8% of 3rd Class male passengers survived. Your greatest chance of survival was to be a female or child 1st/2nd Class passenger or female crew member who had a 86-100% survival rate. &nbsp;Female crew were given preference over male passengers. Only 32% of male 1st Class passengers survived vs 87% of female crew.

  Being &quot;bored&quot; is a self inflicted problem. Easily bored people are boring. Being bored is a symptom of a dull mind. The only people who get bored are people who lack curiosity, creativity, and intellectual ambition (or other ambitions for that matter). If going out to eat and shopping is how you avoid boredom then you are the problem, and only you can fix it.

  Spent years doing industrial equipment installation. Factories and oil rigs in 6 different countries. Never saw a crew with a woman on it. They might be out there, but I&apos;ve never seen it.

  I don’t know why women don’t see the appeal of spending a day just wearing your pajamas, &nbsp;eating chicken wings and pizza and watching TV the whole day and not getting off the couch other than to eat or go to the bathroom.

  I&apos;ll say this. 1. Love the reaction. You two are great!<br><br>2. Men actually need time to turn our brains off. If you want to go out with friends for Brunch by all means go. I&apos;m going to stay home and shut my brain down. This doesn&apos;t mean I&apos;m not interested in the things that you&apos;re interested in. I support you in your interests and, yes, I WILL go with you from time to time. However, we also need time to just decompress. Women need it as well, it&apos;s just that our versions of &quot;Decompression&quot; are different. To me Brunch is a time for the girlies to go out, grab some food, possibly a couple Mimosas, and trade gossip/vent about things happening in their lives. Men take a different approach. Sometimes it is going out and chopping wood, or watching YouTube, or playing video games. We often need a day or two before we can vent about something and we can only do it with certain people. <br><br>We often will not vent to our partners because we don&apos;t want to unload our stress onto them. Ladies, if we DO vent to you, please realize that 1. it affected us A LOT. And 2. We are being vulnerable to you in that moment. We want you to comfort us as we often comfort you. And if we tell you what we want, or need, please just respect that and don&apos;t try to do extra. Doing extra may actually make us feel more uncomfortable because then we feel like we need to pay it back immediately and that we&apos;re adding stress to you. ASK US what we need from you. We may say, &quot;Babe can you just curl up against me while I watch this movie?&quot; or, &quot;Babe, I just need to be alone right now.&quot; And, with the latter, feel free to check on us but make sure that there is several hours before you do. Just peek your head in and say something like, &quot;Hey, you hungry or do you need anything?&quot; This, often, helps to make us feel better. It reassures us that you are there, you care, and we can count on you. That moment is a like a warm blanket that flows over us. &nbsp;But it isn&apos;t suffocating as long as it is very infrequent. Our tone or words in response may seem dismissive. Understand that whilst it may seem that way, we heard you and we love you all the more for it. Just remember that too much of a good thing is a bad thing.
