I always felt like Ozymandious was horrified of what he was about to do. He just wholeheartedly believed it was for the better good

What can't be denied is yet another great, very Carpenter-esque, score from Reznor/Ross.

One big issue with Dr Manhattan really is not understanding him temporally. It isn’t that he sees the future or moves around in time, but that he exists at all time points simultaneously. It’s the concept of an impotent God mixed with quantum mechanics, and it’s something the writers don’t get. He doesn’t make mistakes or misses people, but instead does things knowing how it ends. He is not human, and never has been - throughout the book he was pretending on being human because it was expected of him, but it was like caring about ants.

The idea that he then decides to settle down, let alone his sacrifice at the end, just shows ignorance of his character.

What is interesting about both the sequels to "Watchmen" (the show and the graphic novel) is they both really didn't have the fascinating abundance of story that the original did. They were both just attempted continuations that never did capture the enthralling wonder of the original.

The future doesn't just make sense to Dr Manhattan. He experiences his past, present, and future simultaneously. Operating in what we consider the "now" is merely a formality that allows him to still interact with mortals

I personally love to imagine the HBO show and DC Doomsday Clock as the "what if" scenarios of the book.

The thing I hated about the show was that Dr Manhattan doesn't obey causality. My understanding of the comic was that he still had to obey the laws of physics
