  Elon reaches for the stars. He doesn't always get them (a la the 4680 cells), but he tries like no other. And more often than not he changes the world for the better. 😊

  Elon is probably the only person in the world with the ambition and courage to seriously commercialize and invest in something like this. Other companies have to worry about quarterly profits, but Elon seems to run his companies by betting on future technology every single time.<br><br>I watched this video and still couldn&apos;t believe it, so I went looking for job postings related to TeraFab and found a huge number of relevant positions. This is probably real. He really might be betting on this.

  If GM was building a Terafab, the US Gov would be using tax payer money to build it, it would take 10 years, it would never work, it would be canceled, GM would write it off and tax payers would pay for it again.

  This is of course well known and a large gamble which will work, so it is not such a stretch as it may seem. I remember when I entered a science fair at Rutgers University back in 1953 when I was 13 years old. I only won third place because the winner had built a cyclotron (first developed in 1930–1931 at Berkeley) and the second place was a 15,000 butterfly collection. I see they finally found a practical use for that machine.
