  Thank God the tourism is collapsing. As a Greek I cannot stand the overtourism, it destroys the coultoure and the aura of the island.

  I lived on Santorini:<br>1. Tab water is polluted you can’t even brush your teeth !<br>2. Exactly beside Fira is an open LANDFILL, if the wind is right all the DIRT IS IN THE AIR !<br>On the other side are shops and super markets 👆👉in summer full of blac FLIES !!!<br>3. Therefore many people on Santorini have respiratory illness.<br>4. In Fira is a small Fish Market exactly - 1 meter - distance is the refuse container !<br>5. No parking for cars and ATVs !?<br>6. in the last 10 days (06.08.26) rocks closed twice the stair way down to the old port on FIRA<br>7. This means the path downstairs is VERY unsure &nbsp;❗️<br>8. The doorways on FIRA A VERY DIRTY, they are only cleaned somehow by the rain ?!<br>9. The municipality is not taking care at all !<br>10. Electricity fallouts because electricity producer is way too small and outdated - Electricity is produced by Diesel ???<br>11. &nbsp;The roads are very slippery so many accidents are happening !<br>12. Not enough police, police is underpaid around € 1,000-1,300 !<br>13. Abusing of animals !<br>14. ATHINOS PORT also very unsure because of unsteady rocks ! <br>15. They sank the “SEA DIAMOND” / HUGE PASSENGER SHIP EXACTLY BESIDE ATHINOS PORT ❗️THE VESSEL IS STILL THER 👉TICKING TIME BOMB ❗️They just placed a huge pink silicon ring on the sea surface to collect a bit the crude oil ❗️<br>16. The company which run that boat and the responsible contractor on Santorini don’t care since 17 years about environmental pollution ❗️❗️❗️THIS SOUNDS VERY WEIRD.<br>17. FOOD QUALITY IN MOST OF THE RESTAURANTS VERY LOW AND VER EXPENSIVE ❗️<br>18. Medical Care also low, if they can’t help you, they have to fly you out by helicopter or jet but you have to pay in advance, so watch your insurance.<br>19. Some BARS sell BOMBA (fake alcohol) !<br>20. NO CONTROL OF SAFETY AND QUALITY ❗️❗️❗️<br>21. TWO YEARS before a chinese guy died on a huge tourist boat - visiting the hot springs of the volcano -<br>because they had no DEFIBRILLATOR on boat ❗️

  I love the colors of Santorini and used them as inspiration in our poolyard decor. Could not be happier.

  I was just there. Three big ships and one smaller ship like Viking. 10 thousand people were there.
