  My dad passed away two years ago at 55 when I was down in Tennessee. My biggest regret was going to Tennessee that day.

  He wrote this when his dad was dieing but a DNA test found a kidney so he lived he only had one kidney cuz he gave his other away to save someone and God gave him it back

  Pastor, I've cried every one of the 200 times I've watched this!😢  James & his dad were both officers in the Royal Army so I'm sure it was difficult for them to show a lot of emotion, but James recorded this when his dad was diagnosed with kidney failure & they were unable to find a matching donor.  James did this in hopes of making people aware of the situation & it certainly paid off.  A distant cousin (also last name Blunt) came forward & was a match; so his dad is still alive as far as I know!  BUT the emotion in his voice STILL brings me to tears!😊

  You stopped it just a split second too soon. His father patting him on the arm at the end gets me every time. Even though he was the one dying, he still tried to comfort his son. 😥💕

  His father was in stage 4 kidney failure and they couldn’t find a donor match in time, so he made this song for his dad.

  The great thing from this is that the Father got a new kidney and as both were British Army, James gave all the proceeds of this song to help wounded veterans - the Help for Heroes charity. As a former British Army veteran I have a huge amount of respect for my fellow vets. <br><br>And God bless you pastor. My love from across the pond.

  His dad did survive stage four kidney cancer.. when Charles Blunt was going through this in 2019, is when James wrote this song..
