  If you’re looking for an extra little bit of comfort but are also thin on points, Virgin premium economy is definitely worth a look. Took my fiancé to Paris through Heathrow from Dulles via Virgin last spring, had a great experience. Plenty comfortable enough to get a little extra rest in without a huge jump in point price.

  100% agree on the United co-branded card. We got round trip SFO-ADL direct for 360k United points for 2 people. 90k for 15-16hr business class flight was awesome. Looking forward to the trip! Was great we could transfer from chase/bilt AND do a pooling as well.

  Alaska still only takes transfers from bilt and their own cards. That exclusivity keeps the bilt balance useful for the hawaiian and condor sweet spots

  I have flown both Virgin Upper and Premium.  Both great-  and paid 10K from JFK for the premium and 21K for the upper (and using a transfer bonus!)! . I'll be flying LHR to Mumbai and back on Premium in November and LHR back to JFK on Premium . Upper for my inflexible dates was non existent so I consider my self fortunate to have found all those Premium flights.  I have also flown a daytime economy flight to LHR  from JFK for 6K  and have another booked for my India trip.  At 5 feet tall I have no problem with Econ for 7 hours!!

  Devaluation isnt the correct term. It's supply & demand. The reason why devaluation will continue to be the trend is because of travel "influencers" making so much content about how to game/META rewards programs. We're all doing it now. Demand for the very limited number of Business class seats are skyrocketing. Reward points costs are going up. Supply & demand where we only have ourselves to blame.
