  Placing Jackson as head of the Valley campaign was a wise  choice. He not only knew the area he also knew the people very well.

  Atta boy, General Jackson! <br>5 out of 6 of the Battles of the Stonewall Jackson Valley Campaign ended in victory for the Confederates, and, to this day, I love it! Y&apos;all think about what These Brave Confederates faced. At no time, did they ever have any more than 17,000 Men...and yet, they managed to keep at least 51,000 Yankees from going to lay siege on Richmond, Virginia! They traveled between 500-550 miles from March, 1862-June, 1862. They fought desperately, and won their way into Victories, Into the hearts of our precious Southern People, and into History, as Heroes!!! <br>Well Done, General Jackson, and Well Done, To the Brave Confederates under his Command!!!

  Here on MD&apos;s Eastern Shore the Winder family is well known and pronounced like Wine-der not Wind-er. There was a Confederate memorial marker to &nbsp;Winder in front of our local courthouse but an argument between mayor and city council about it remaining up, making local news, likely lead someone to vandalize it and was taken down. Thank you for these videos, very enjoyable.
