Lodestones use Compasses to redirect you towards wherever you place the Lodestone, sort of like a waypoint. You left click to set the compass to the Lodestone in order for it to redirect you.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJjMK3dpmxw&amp;t=348">5:48</a> you can connect a compass to a lodestone block and it will lead you back to wherever the lodestone is placed. it’s great for finding your portal when in the nether, or to find the quickest route to your base after a long journey! i use them and love it!
