  I think the reason for the return of Blue's cocky attitude in Alola comes from the fact that he's a decorated champion manning the Battle Tree with Red. Given its function in-game and lore, this is the place for him to show off to a bunch of people and have fun doing it.

  I feel like Wally's buttoned up coat and paler color scheme looks somewhat similar to a hospital gown, it make sense since he's always been sickly. When he unbuttons his coat. I feel like it not only shows how confident he has become, but how his pokemon journey made him physically healthier as well

  Something I wish you pointed out is the fact that Blue isn&apos;t actually a &quot;jerk&quot; like many people think he is. Throughout the Kanto games, he actually gives you genuine tips and advice, usually pointing the player in the right direction if they&apos;re unsure on what to do next. Blue is definitely overconfident in his abilities as a Pokémon Trainer, but he&apos;s not at all mean-spirited like Silver is. <br> <br>I believe the reason for this misconception is due to Blue&apos;s anime counterpart, Gary, who <b>is</b> a lot more antagonistic toward Ash, and fans just projected this characterization onto Blue.

  I love Kieran&apos;s arc so much. It was so sweet in Mochi Mayhem how he mostly reverted back to his kind self, but didn&apos;t exactly lose all of the edge he developed over the course of his journey to get there

  Silver looks like he&apos;s wearing Jordan 13s in his Gen 2 look imo. Japanese streetwear fashion is a huge influence in their early designs with the baggy almost flowing clothes and detailed shoes. At least that&apos;s my opinion

  I appreciate blue featuring purple as a major color in his pre time skip design as it draws a connection between him and the indigo league to subtly foreshadow his role as the game&apos;s champion

  peak video, mr door. Kieren bias is wholly justified, i&apos;d say he simply is the best written rival we&apos;ve gotten so far. You should do a professor video next, more people need to be enlightened on grand oak.

  I remember seeing a theory floating around years ago when Sun and Moon was the latest game in the series where Hau would’ve filled the protagonist role while the player is the rival, since the rival is the local of the Alola region and the protagonist moved to it. That and Hau picks the starter weak against your starter Pokémon, like how the protagonist picks a Pokémon only for the rival picks the type advantage.
