I know it wasn't colonized yet, but I can unnotice the fact that New Zealand wasn't in the global map in part 2.

its interesting to see that the main reason india was taken so easily was legal and diplomatic advances that the british had and not because of the military difference

An absolutely outstanding series — so well-researched and clearly presented! 🇬🇧📜 The way you’ve covered the British conquest of India (1798–1806) across all five parts really brings the history to life.👏

The British also took over the Dutch trade post and colonies when the Netherlands was occupied/collaborating with Napoleon. Naming Surate, Malabar, Ceylon, Coromandel, Bengal/Bangladesh and posts in Myanmar. <br>They returned Coromandel and Bengal but retook it 10 years later granting the Dutch free hand in Indonesia which wasn&apos;t even halfway colonised by the Dutch. Only thing that reminds us of this are a dozen of forts and the fact that Ceylon used to be called candy. And the Dutch traded the Ceylon sugar as rough melted crystals or caramelised &nbsp;known as kandij. The Dutch Americans, Jankees or Yankees took the word over and therfore they call sweets candy and the Dutch word for eating candy snoopen became the American word for snooping like the cartoon Snoopy if you know the story it&apos;s all peanuts.
