The late, great, Mako Iwamatsu voiced Master Splinter in the 2007 TMNT movie.

As much as I have issues with 2012 TMNT, especially when it came to writing certain characters, but it's version of Splinter is not one of them. He's a perfect combination of a wise mentor and disciplinary father.

Easily my favorite version of the character. 2012 splinter was the first one that felt like a dad to me and him having a previous life as yoshi adding so much to his character as he learned how to accept his new life and second chance at fatherhood.

Being hilarious and a badass doesn’t hurt either

2012 splinter genuinely is the best splinter. A man marked by tragedy, his own brother killing his wife. Stealing his child. Loosing his humanity and at times his own mind. Splinter was a broken man who endured for others. He endured for his turtles turned sons. He endured for his daughter who was led astray thanks to shredder. He endured for his late wife and even for the people of New York. Turning his sons into the noble heroes that would protect the city and the world

2012 splinter truly is a man among men.

In my opinion, 2012 master splinter is by far the best master splinter TMNT I’ve ever seen. And he is one of the best thing in the 2012 Siri.

if they ever decided to get a Japanese actor to voice splinter, i think Ken Watanabe would be a good choice

I'm in my 40's. I've been a huge TMNT fan since the mid-eighties. I think the 2012 show is the best version hands down. We'll, right under the 90's live action. You can tell Ciro Nieli loved and respected the property.

kind of surprised that he didn't mention how at one point, Splinter was hated because of that infamous ep where the guys were expose to the media and he forbid then to travel up in the surface until they proper learn the way of the ninja, even taking away Mikey's tv and nearly hurt April.
