  In a group of notable comedic eccentrics and wits, Palin outshone them all, not least because of his inner humanity, insatiable curiosity, natural eloquence, and unyielding optimism. He truly is a world treasure!

  Recently I have been watching his travel documentaries done during the 80s and early 90s and the were so good. I really admire him and how he created this career that ranges from comedy to books. It’s amazing!

  What a great writer he is and his initial reading has encouraged me to read more. Always have loved his work with Python and his marvelous travel adventures. Thanks Michael for a lifetime of laughs in this very tough life. BTW, you are far and away my favorite Python.

  How lovely!!<br>I absolutely adore Michael Palin and am totally obsessed with Python and all it&apos;s offshoots, Ripping Yarns, Rutland Weekend Television, Fawlty Towers and of course Michael Palin&apos;s sensational travel series.<br>It&apos;s great to read through his diaries and I got volume 4 for Christmas and am loving reading through it so far!! 🙂

  Almost at the end of his first Diaries audiobook downloaded the other 3 volumes, grew up watching Monty Python&apos;s, but never had the insight.

  You can hear his Sheffield accent come through, very faintly, with certain words when he reads the audio books. So, he&apos;s not really &apos;doing&apos; a Yorkshire accent when playing the role of the people he meets in his diary accounts - he is just accentuating his own.
