  This concert is a testimony. He was obviously at peak form, the music is just sensational. I first listened to this music with his cds back in the nineties, but this is something else. The Italian Concert he plays here, to me, is the best rendition I have ever witnessed. A video to be remembered and shown to young pianists. Also, the audience seems to be very aware that they are watching something special. And in top of that, Mr. Schiff was enjoying the music he was playing. This is a Celebration

  13 years ago, but Bach is timeless and so is sir Andeás Schiff.

  I think we tend to take it for granted that professional pianists play without sheet music, but it's not really a matter of course. Schiff here is playing around two hours' worth of highly complex music from memory. It's extremely impressive.

  I love his playing here. Look how relaxed his hands are. No tension whatsoever. The music just comes out of his fingers effortlessly.

  I don't know why, every time when i listen to Andras Schiff playing Bach, i feel myself sitting in a church, praying God and surrounded with angels.  Thanks for uploading.

  Es gibt wohl keinen anderen zeitgenössischen Musiker, der eine so intime Beziehung zur Musik von Bach hat und mit ihr so by heart vertraut ist. Nicht weil er auswendig spielt, sondern weil er eine organische, natürliche Inklination zu Bachs Werk hat, das nicht er interpretiert, sondern das ihn, Sir Andras, auslegt. Einzigartig.
