Once Israel launched its massive attack against the people of Gaza in October ‘23, I began researching what I considered to be ‘Jewish Dissent’ to Zionism. I was certain it must exist. Since the very earliest days Palestinian resistance has been strong, and I’m in 💯 solidarity with their resistance. Palestine must be, and will be free. And highly principled anti-Zionist Jews have also held the line against Israel too. For that they have my respect. Not nearly enough, but their numbers have grown. Zionism is a cult that uses mind control methods to indoctrinate and propagandise, but all cults can be deconstructed and dismantled from both within, and without. And all cults can implode, collapse, and be destroyed when enough people snap out of it psychologically, emotionally, and actively work towards dismantling them. <br><br>I look forward to reading this book! Respect to the author.

One cannot disassociate specific politics from Jewish supremacy, as in the racial-biological strain of Zionism that wraps itself in theological terminology like certain fascims of the 1930s (by violence and also, e.g., using Hebrew to shape a group in opposition to both the nonterritorial or ethnic nature of language itself and that of linguistic diversity). Herzl's son shooting himself was predicted in Herzl's own earlier story as part of his self-mythologizing, and another use of hierarchy was the idealization of Sephardim in late 19th c. Europe within stigmatized Ashkenazi culture. The Bund's labor activism in Russia and charity hospital work in Poland contrast with rightist admiration for military organization and doctrines of authority imposed on a Yiddishite world, questioning tracing impulses to domination to scripture or its role in coded atheism.
