  As a trans aspiring actor, I kinda just wish this wasn’t even a conversation, Yknow? Like I just want trans people to be seen as human beings. It’s so scary even without the bigotry, going into acting not knowing whether there’s even a space for people like me. If there’s not I will carve a space out but it’s scary. Knowing that this kind of controversy could be my future.

  The argument "the casting it's not accurate!!!!" Is so ridiculous to me cuz when has Six ever cared about casting accuracy, when they have cast many actresses in different  races, cultures, body types, height and even non binary performers so what makes this casting any different?

  If you can’t ‘go with’ a performance because you can’t see past an actor’s physicality or off-stage identity, then I fear you suffer a sad lack of imagination and I wonder how much you can truly enjoy theatre.

  I have a trans tween in musical theatre who was really excited to hear that a trans actress has been cast in SIX. She said, "She is like me!" We are bummed that Dylan won't be on stage yet when we are in NYC, but hopefully she'll still be there when we make it there next!

  I was surprised when I read about Mulvaney's casting since I didn't know she sang.  Hearing she has a background in musical theater is cool. So why would anyone object to her casting? Doesn't make sense to me. To object because she can't bear a child is the dumbest thing I've ever heard; do the women cast in Wicked know how to fly & do magic? From that video clip you showed, she seems like a charming, brave & deserving person.  I hope she enjoys her run in Six, it's a great show.

  Dylan looks perfect for Anne Boleyn, she reminds me of Millie O’Connell in terms of vibes. <br><br>Castings like Dylan’s remind me the transphobes are a minority and they won’t win. Very cynically if transphobia was that bad they wouldn’t cast her, especially in a group like this which is specifically trying to increase box office numbers.
