This guy did things right. Avoided the crunch burnout industry while having a stable career and still went forward with making what he wanted without dealing with corporate change orders

I've been learning blender for 23 years. I made 2 movies and now am working on a miniseries. This man is mad. Crazy. I should know, I'm animating cg movies and miniseries alone in blender. It will take your sanity away. But it's a heck of a ride. I'm a 3d God!

This is so good. Well done Dave. I started relearning Blender about 3 months ago. I'm an author so I've focused on my writing since 2022 and my novel went live on June 1st. I've started a follow up to it but I also have the ambition to create several short animated films in a cell-shaded style to add to the world and eventually turn the book into an animated movie. I have a vision to realise and work completely alone. I'm learning everything as I need the skill. I'll probably forget it all as I move from one skill to another but it's a fun adventure. For now, I'm just practicing with short animations, modeling cars, sculpting, experimenting with keyframing. I built a whole residential neighbourhood in a weekend. And modelled a house interior. Blender is the MVP of modelling software for the little guy.

Learning blender during lockdown has changed my life and so many others. I'm in a similar spot as Dave except insted of making a movie, they're fully CG youtube video.
