  Thanks for the clarification. I'm an old guy who doesn't know much about the post Silver age. It's interesting to hear about more recent  trends. My collecting focus is mainly in Golden Age Horror and Humor books, never really been into Super heroes. Although I do own some DC silly books from the 60s that I appreciate.

  The frustration with categorizing 'ages' is that the defining traits change over time.  Continuity, tone, art style, writing style...  Plus, most dates are a problem because not all comics and companies change at the same time.  Also, the "ages" were really only designed to keep track of DC and Marvel superhero properties.  We don't really need or even use them much for other genres.  In fact, they kind of cause us to forget about a majority of comic book history.  We never talk about companies like Dell which was the biggest publisher of the 1950s.  We don't factor in all the Indy companies and their wide-range of genres... only when they too publish superheroes.

  I love the Modern age the best, which for me, began right after  the last issue  of Crisis On Infinite Earths, and a very, very close second is The Silver and then the Golden Age.  ALl such fun eras.

  I enjoy a bunch of 1970s comics to present. The only Silver Age I go for is Dr. Strange.

  In 23 and I got introduced to the silver age by simply having an obsession with Spider-Man as a kid thanks to the first Tobey Spidey film. Because of Spidey and how crossover works I then got introduced to Captain America and the avengers in the 60s. And now recently I’ve been getting into history a lot more then I did as a kid and that’s taking me to the golden age with Captain Americas origin.

  I was a kid during the Bronze age of comics; loved all the camp. <br>Today my collection begins with Fantastic Four. I have plenty of space for future books.<br>Comixology is where I read a ton of books including collected issues of every iconic hero.<br>Graphic novels are yet another avenue to enjoy the modern era. My favorite was V For Vendetta.<br><br>Just subbed this channel to re-educate myself on the history of ages.

  Golden Age: 1938 - 1956<br>(The rise of the Superheroes genre)<br>Silver Age: 1956 - 1970<br>(Marvel glory days &amp; DC campy stories and the rise of the multiverse concept)<br>Bronze Age: 1970 - 1984/85<br>(Handle much darker topics like drugs, violence, and the rise of anti heroes)<br>Copper/Dark/Iron Age: 1984/85 - 1991/92<br>(The rise of indie comics &amp; serious comics, graphic novels like Watchmen)<br>Chrome Age: 1992 - 1999?<br>(Extreme comic artstyles and holographic comic covers, the rise of Image comics)<br>Modern Age?: 2000 - 2011?<br>(Marvel reboot their universe with the ultimate Marvel universe, the rise of superhero movies which lead to today&apos;s media)<br>Post Modern Age?: 2011 - 2016<br>(DC reboot their universe with the new 52 comic line, until the rebirth in 2016 &amp; Marvel ended their ultimate line back in 2015 i think)<br>Current Modern Age: 2015/16/17? - Present<br>(Nowadays people can read their comics on digital, comic books today are not that interesting anymore.   I have never been able to get into the golden age but everything that has came after it has been outstanding. &nbsp; Still I am enjoying the modern age of comics a lot more. &nbsp; <br>Great video! &nbsp;👍🏾

  Great history lesson! &nbsp;I am in the Copper era camp. &nbsp;IMHO, there should further adjustment of the eras for the speculative boom era of the &apos;90s. &nbsp;It should be called the &apos;Chrome&apos; era (for the 1000s of variant chrome covers that was pumped out) and cover ~1993 to about 2000 (where the industry starts to recover from the bust). &nbsp;Pretty soon the era the industry is in now cannot be called the &apos;Modern&apos; era anymore as time goes by. &nbsp;As for what I collect, I tried to collect bronze and copper era comics.

  Fantastic content. &nbsp;I was born in &apos;63 so I span the Silver and Bronze age. &nbsp;Silver Surfer was my guy.
