Everything made sense in the moment you were explaining it, and I literally forgot all of it at the end of the video again already...

15 years of PC gaming and I still didn't fully understand some of the graphics settings. Mighty fine video my dude!

Showing DLSS 5 as an example of the usual DLSS is a crime tbh 😅

If only every game can have a brief description of all these settings. Good video btw, saving it on my watch later in case I need it lol. 😂

The biggest issue I have with Depth of Field is that it assumes where the player should be looking and if you want to look at something else, well you just can’t. It’s an option that is trying to simulate how our eyes work, but without the adaptability that our eyes provide

It's crazy how many people listen to "Pro players" when configuring their graphics settings. I have seen so many people, especially pros say to set anisotropic filtering to lowest for best performance in competitive games, which technically is correct, but it's like a 1fps gain if you're lucky.

    A little tip:
If your game offers ray tracing, disable ambient occlusion, as AO is how games fake core/contact shadows. With ray tracing, there is no need to fake these shadows, so just turn of AO.

When I play Cyberpunk, I do this, and then get to crank up ray tracing to psycho setting, with about the same performance, but dramatically better lighting and reflections.
In fact, there was a hallway with glass-covered posters, and the hallway zig zagged. I could see a bad guy's reflection on one of the glass panes, despite him being a left turn and then a right turn down the hallway. The reflections acted like a para-scope! It made me remember the time I got stopped by the police, and greeted them before I even turned around. They asked how the heck I knew they were behind me, and I told them I could see their reflection on the chrome of a headlight fixture of one of the parked cars.

Ray-tracing really lets you interact with the game world in ways we're used to doing IRL, and to say it's the most advanced graphics innovation in recent history is an understatement. I never thought we'd see real-time ray-tracing in my lifetime. In the early 2000s, it took my computer over 8 hours to render a ray-traced image that was 800x600 pixels. Now, my PC can render ray-traced images in 4K at 60fps. It's basically real life magic.

I always feel grateful when a video has very short intro.
You do away with no intro at all! Brilliant!
