  Hey everyone,<br><br>Right off the bat, some corrections/things I forgot, and realized I forgot when I watched it back. The JSOW-ER also exists, with a range of 300 nautical miles, JASSM-ER at 575 miles for the range. But those are expensive and aren’t really being used for close-air support missions. The other helo-launched “launched effect” is the Spike NLOS, but that has a range of around 30 miles. Anyway, the Red Wolf seems like a good idea for the Marines right now, and this whole cheaper but highly capable munitions approach is pretty necessary. <br><br>Coming up, we have a video on the Pentagon’s plans to restock the missile magazines.   I don&apos;t think it was mentioned but the Red Wolf&apos;s payload is around the same as the Hellfire.

  The Army and Navy need this missile too! 200+ mile missile that can be shot from a chopper? Yes please! Black Hawks, Apaches, and Sea Hawks suddenly become far more dangerous and can do all sorts of crazy things. I also wonder if these things can fit on a HIMARS/M270. I know the Army and Corps has toys for them, but it would be pretty amazing if there was a munition that could be used by a wide set of platforms. Hell, pack a bunch of these critters in a container and strap &apos;em on a truck or surface ship like the LCS or the new frigate too.

  I feel like the modern military attack chopper is basically making a slow transition to super-mobile long-range artillery gun, where it&apos;s value sits in between an artillery gun and a jet on the cost/use ladder.
