  Ok, you NEED to play ultrakill. It has an OST which is awesome, and gameplay which lets you BE awesome. It deserves the name ULTRAKILL more than any other game i've played.

  It&apos;s crazy how one can make a fifty minute essay on videogame music as varied as this one, and still only scratch the surface of what this industry has to offer. We must be so lucky. <br>Amazing video, man

  Risk of Rain 2 has probably my favourite OST of any game I&apos;ve played. The track &quot;The Rain Formerly Known as Purple&quot; is fucking ascension condensed into sound. I&apos;m still bad at the game but the music puts me into such a flow state that even the longest runs don&apos;t even feel like it.<br><br>I&apos;ve recently started Persona 5 and I&apos;ve been loving the music there too. I&apos;ve multiple times ended up just sitting there listening to it. I&apos;m also noticing even more of it&apos;s music used as bgm in random videos now. I knew some tracks were used all the time but damn it&apos;s even more than I thought.<br><br>Mewgenics, while I didn&apos;t get too into the game (breeding was, as I&apos;d expected, my least favourite part of the game + the runs were very long), has one of the craziest OSTs I&apos;ve ever heard. Songs about cannibal cats, eating rats and poop but also the super chill moon track and Japanese vocal synth kaiju track that&apos;s actually just about brushing your teeth. Chumbucket Kitty might be my favourite though.<br><br>Picayune Dreams, which also features art from Andyland of Endacopia, has a really great breakcore soundtrack that I loved while I 100%ed that game.<br><br>Nikke, the gooner gacha game, has some banger tracks like Hurricanes and The Redhood. It also has a genuinely good story. I think the endings of certain events is the most I&apos;ve ever cried from a story, bar maybe Cyberpunk Edgerunners and that fucking song (iykyk).<br><br>Zenless Zone Zero has some great tracks too, the battle tower track &quot;PEAK&quot; being the standout. The promotional EPs for new character also have a huge variety with songs like Pinking, Damidami, I Ask and chaos.exe.<br><br>I&apos;m sure I&apos;ve forgotten something but I can&apos;t check my steam library rn so that&apos;ll do. Most of my music listening isn&apos;t really from games though. It&apos;s mostly anime openings and other Japanese music like Ado, Eve or Creepy Nuts. Also vocaloid(etc) with producers like PinocchioP, DECO*27 and Utsu-P - who you may like if you metal, there&apos;s some crazy tracks in their discography. Try Death of the Law, I think it was the first one I heard.

  Keiichi Okabe, who makes the sountracks for the Nier games, is also a great example. He did some insane dynamic composition work on Nier Automata, so the &quot;unofficial&quot; soundtrack contains hundreds of tracks. <br><br>Definitely check him out.

  First of all love the video and also: hiiiiiigh recommendation for both Jessica Curry and Austin Wintory for some of the most amazing orchestral aramgemts in all their games. For her part I haven&apos;t found many people aranging choirs like Jessica. Just some amazing stuff

  From the calamity segment, I&apos;d like to give an honorable mention to Pinpin Neon for their work on the infernum addon soundtrack.<br>Their theme for the vanilla mech bosses was used as the placeholder for the exo-mechs too so... honorary composer.<br><br>Also Dokuro&apos;s scrapped song &quot;Tyrant&quot; is just.<br>Ough.<br><br>The fact we will never hear that song complete deeply upsets me and makes me cherish what we did get so much more.

  Thought I&apos;d also throw my hat in the ring with Kingdom Hearts, not as pulse pounding &quot;Feel like God&quot; as your example but Yoko Shimomura&apos;s work has been played at World Famous Orchestras, the OST has multiple World Tour runs to its name and Hikaru Utada&apos;s signature title songs for each of the main games, both were insanely influential in today&apos;s music industry.
