Satellite City was edgy for it's time, but you don't know edgy youtube series in the 2020s until you've experienced The Painter... https://youtu.be/5K2z2qLWGog

Satellite City OCs are what people picture when they think of OCs

i just genuinely never considered what that scene might look like to people unfamiliar with Satellite City. I watched it and my only takeway was 'Okay, kind of a weird crossover', but everyone else saw Doug Walker get gyrated on and climbed over by weird furry women and yinglet things for like ten minutes with no context. Wow.

These guys look like someone injected a vivziepop show into someone's cat.

The internet has created a space for what I can only describe as OC first media (this, to a lesser extent RWBY) where creators just sorta dump a pile of elaborately designed characters with complicated backstories into a room together and just sorta have them... hang out, because there was never much of an idea for what the show was beyond "look at all my cool characters"

those creatures do look genuinely impressive but also extremely over-animated, sometimes to a genuinely distressing degree

I love examining people’s odd personal projects in this non-judgmental fashion. It’s easy to mock things that are ultra-self-indulgent like this, but it’s often where the most fascinating works derive from.

Just popping in to inform you of that one spotify/soundcloud or whatever it was playlist called "Russian Roulette", where it's 5 copies of Comfortably Numb and 1 copy of Comfortably Dumb set to shuffle

It’s weird because I remember coming across this guy’s channel years before the Wall review even came out, so when the review did come out and I saw it, I was kinda just like… huh.
