What may be even more impressive than the actual restoration is the fact that someone came up with how to do this in the first place!

Personally, as a restorer, I find this video and the entire process absolutely perfect and with very correct procedures. The materials used are super accurate, the formulas are very accurate, and the procedures from beginning to end are absolutely correct. As a restorer, I also happen to watch Baumgarthen's videos, and I love them. But I confess that it pains me a little to read some comments indicating that procedures in this video are incorrect, considering or comparing them to Julian's procedures. It's truly a pity that Julian Baumgartner doesn't deign to leave a comment indicating that besides his process, there are many others that do the same thing and achieve the same good results. Perhaps this would clear the minds of some of his viewers.

I'm 57 years old.  If I had to live my live over again, I would have chosen to become an art restorer.  Just love the process and the results.

That’s an unusual painting, it looks almost like a colored photograph more than an oil painting.

Is it just me or does the lady seem to be smiling ever so slightly after the restoration? I think she approves. Very satisfying to watch

I had no idea how much knowledge was involved in this work. It’s so meticulous and exacting. Requires so much patience and skill. Very impressive to watch.
