My late mother was visiting London England in the early nineties. She was a very talented knitter. Liberty London was featuring Kaffe in their yarn department one Saturday. She arrived first thing that morning. She was honoured to knit with Kaffe for almost two hours until other people arrived by noon!! He was so gracious and helpful. It was a marvellous memory that she treasured for the years to come. ❤

I used to paint but after my husband passed away, I have just become uninspired. I started to sew and embroider his shirts into 2 tapestries for our granddaughters, and then I happened on this video! You have given me inspirations and suddenly, I am seeing all these possibilities! You are right. It is wonderful to work with our hands. ❤. Thank-You!!

I have adored his work all my life.
The first expensive book l ever bought was his designs.
Later, he and William Morris, along with some Australian designers encouraged me to study textile design, embroidery and art.
It's made my life so happy...❤

I first learned of Kaffe when I was in Bath, England in the late 80’s or early 90’s on a solo trip via train from London all the way down to Penzance. I would hop on and off the trains at a whim just to explore towns including St. Ives and the seaside town where Daphne D’Mauria (sp?) wrote novels. In Bath, I went to see the American Museum and they were featuring Kaffe’s gorgeous work there but I believe they were quilts. (Leave it to an American to go to Bath and seek out an American Museum but it was wonderful and the setting in the country was breathtaking.) I was inspired and I am so glad that he designs these beautiful tapestries. That chair takes my breath away. The colors‼️

You are an amazing artist; I used to do embroidery myself, but I am truly in awe of your work. Zdenka from Prague

His work is amazing! Those chairs! So beautiful! The owners must feel like they have become part of the art.

My belated Mother-in-law was a fan of Kaffe Fasset and she made needlepoint art from his patterns. We have a few pillows she made still on our sofa. She had a few of his books my Sis-in-law has now. She also has her mother's needlepoint needles and patterns too. She also made us some pretty pillows and jewelry box with a pretty design 😁. I forgot! My husband also has a belt with golf designs my mom in law made for him from needlepoint and beautiful vest too ❤😊

You are right, the fact that he was first an artist, a painter, gave him so so much more inspiration on the use of colours than an "ordinary" knitter or quilter just following the "bon goût". He's always been a great support for me when daring to create my own clothes, decoration...

Best knitting advice you gave me during an evening at Oxford’s Playhouse was when I asked how to rectify dropped stitches on the back of a sweater. You said “no one’s looking at the back” 😂. I have learned so much from your books and followed you for YEARS. Thank you.

Over 40 years ago, as a young knitter his work mesmerized me. I knitted one of his sweaters and cherished it for many years.
