  99 mph in a 50 mph is insanely dangerous, especially to cross traffic.

  This really hits home.  A friend of my family was just killed by an 18 year old driver doing 100 on a two lane road, passing in a no passing zone, and hit her head on.  Does the younger generation not understand what happens if you hit something doing 100 mph???  Or how easy it is to lose control of a vehicle on a hilly road at those speeds?  Frank probably saved this kids life.

  Just saw a Facebook post from a <20 year old kid bragging about going 136. He recently put the community through hell and we raised a ton of money for him having cancer. He beat it, but what a way to thank us and put us all at risk for his thrills. I'm not much older than him, but it pisses me off. I'm friends with his grandma and am thinking about calling her

  When he said the kids was under arrested I thought he would end up in handcuff and taking a trip to the county jail.<br>Under arrest certainly now has a new meaning for me.

  That kid doing 45+ over speed limit deserves to be arrested. No one in that area would have disagreed. Kid put everyone’s life at risk on that day.

  For all those saying they don’t understand why the kid didn’t go to jail. He has a mandatory court appearance where a judge will levy the appropriate punishment. In many circumstances police officers can use their discretion. If he stopped that kid and he was uncooperative he most likely would have taken a ride. &nbsp;Officers are encouraged to release arrestees when it is appropriate so they can stay on the road and remain productive. If he drags him into the station he will be off the road for several hours processing him. Finger prints, mug shot, reports etc. staying on the road he can make a bigger impact on traffic violators
