  Make sure you keep your hybrid battery cooling fan port clear, clean and replace the filter regularly, or you will be doing so with the hybrid battery.  Cool is king with hybrid Toyotas.  Use the AC, it cools the hybrid battery.

  I bought the hybrid RAV4 instead of gas version for the increase in acceleration of the hybrid.  Doing a merge, pass, or turning into traffic, that extra boost available with the hybrid is very welcome.

  When hybrids first came out, everybody thought the battery and associated tech would be problematic…. But very few people complain about hybrid problems… honestly so surprising!!! 🤯

  My 2010 Prius is on its 4th battery pack. None were covered by original Prius warranty.  First replacement was by company in Sanford, NC and they offered 100k warranty.   2 years later they honored the warranty and replaced battery again. Our last battery replacement was with GreenBean and we got the lifetime and transferral warranty.   We are up to 270k miles and get up to 52 mpg during spring and fall seasons.  48 mpg during summer and winter seasons.  Looking forward to the new solid state battery coming out soon.

  My 2015 Prius has 240,000 miles still running perfectly just changed the original Toyota battery last week. The hybrid battery still running strong. Never have mechanical problems . But  oil change every 7,000 miles at the dealership and regular filter change by me it’s cheaper than doing at the dealership. I am a hybrid Toyota  faithful customer.

  I'm driving a 2026 Camry Hybrid rental right now; I've had it for over two months now. I'm really happy with this vehicle and would consider buying one. For me, the big savings in fuel is in city driving.

  2000 camry 4 cylinder.  335k on original engine and transmission.    Still my daily driver 45 to 50 miles daily.

  I needed to replace a car. At Toyota I drove a hybrid Rav-4. The price difference was 6k. My comment was I can buy a lot of gas 6k.

  You mentioned comparing the total cost over the 250Kmiles, but you don’t give us the figures. What are the total costs? 😡 This is just click-bait. They’re throwing out a bunch of hypothetical numbers to make their point. They didn’t really run two Camry’s for 250Kmiles.

  Have a 2021 RAV4 Hybrid. Was a 5k price difference between it & gas. Living in California I’m sure we’ve saved more than the initial price difference in gas alone. Wife loved the Hybrid so much we bought a Sienna Hybrid. Toyota customers for life!

  Distance of 250000 miles is about 25 years of driving for most people. Of the car payment and depreciation of the additional $2000 for the hybrid, your looking at 7 or 8 years to break even on gas savings.

  2014 Prius 3 now at 286,000 MI.    Drive hard mostly interstates.     12volt battery and water pump.
