My parents used a Buddhist book to teach me how to read when I was 5/6 years old. So that is my background and when I was a teenager I read every day the « Tao te King » which I know by heart... and then I had a friend who often invited me to Buddhist meetings. I was curious and I went to many until the day I met a Buddhist monk who was teaching about ShantiDeva ♥️ that day was the revelation ! I felt this buddhist monk was telling the truth I always waited for since I was a child and since I felt nobody tells any real truth about anything... that teaching was the truth I was looking for ! And then I took refuge and started studying regularly and seriously Buddhism ☸️ and then miracle... I met you dearest Tenzin Palmo, when you were teaching in New York City (winter 2004/05) and You made my life even more meaningful and clear about the path !

Respectfully, Jetsunma-la, I hope your statement about people having more of a monastic acceptance in the West comes true; heaven knows we need more folks with the Dharma in their hearts now given the craziness of the world's politics. I believe that many of the world's ills could be resolved if people just acted with kindness and compassion in their lives. Many blessings to you and to Khenpo Rinchen for this wonderful conversation!
