  This was done to celebrate finishing the prime number challenge<br>(prime TMX map ID for every Amazon prime sub, in order from the start of TMX).<br>That lasted almost exactly two months, from <br>* Jul 22 2026 - It seems even internal links get auto-deleted in YT comments on this channel so I can&apos;t link VODs. &nbsp;Go to the &quot;live&quot; tab on his channel and scroll down, or use YT&apos;s search for &quot;prime number day 52&quot; or whatever. &nbsp;The first day&apos;s VOD title is &quot;🔥 Playing a Prime Map for every Prime in Chat 🔥&quot;;<br>proper intro starts at 21 minutes (after 20 minutes of yapping while people prime), actual gameplay at 22 min 15 sec on TMX ID 3 (the second prime number), because 1 isn&apos;t prime and map 2 is deleted.<br><br>* until Sep 21 (search for Prime Number Day 52). &nbsp;Not spoiling with a timestamp exactly where in the stream the challenge ended; if nobody&apos;s commented on the VOD with a timestamp you can look at the prime count overlay being there or not to see if you&apos;re before or after.<br>* The finish date (20260921) is a prime number.<br>* The span of TMX history was almost exactly 1.5 years, from map ID 3 uploaded on TM2020 release day (Jul 1st, 2020) until the last few maps of the challenge being Jan 1st, 2022.<br><br>* The challenge lasting nearly 200 hours of stream time, with breaks for EWC and XPEvo letting prime subs refresh. &nbsp;More days but fewer stream hours than Deep Dip 2.<br><br>EWC ended almost exactly 1 month after the challenge started. &nbsp;A lot fewer people than usual shared their primes in chat during EWC, since they wouldn&apos;t count towards the challenge. &nbsp;Probably some people didn&apos;t use their prime sub at all during that break, not realizing that in 2nd and later resub months, sharing is manual and could be delayed until the prime challenge was back on. &nbsp;So as Lars predicted, there was potentially a drought of prime subs another month after that, when he finally won. &nbsp;Definitely a lot of primes in the last 3 days, though, but maybe a lot of those were &quot;reserves&quot;. &nbsp;(A lot of people with primes intentionally delayed priming until Lars was on the target map, or within a couple. &nbsp;Maybe they thought Lars would change the rules if the gap was too large, and/or they just like to edge.)<br><br>Also, a decent fraction of chat was ready for the challenge to end and didn&apos;t use their primes, so Lars could do different content. &nbsp;The start of the challenge was an interesting look at TMX history, with maps being quite different from your average random map that you see in RMC, and interesting stuff like The Void (almost 10k skipped IDs where there was never a map, due to the default config of MS SQL server preallocating 10k IDs for autonumber bigint fields, and not deallocating the block on server restart. &nbsp;TMX admins changed that setting after it happened once, so no further voids).<br>After the first hundred hours, things were pretty normal and not a lot different from RMC runs, except for longer maps that you wouldn&apos;t get in RMC. &nbsp;After the royal / plastic / water update, another flurry of interesting stuff, and fewer broken maps since some of the important physics changes had already happened by then. &nbsp;(But still not bob or all of the ice changes; we didn&apos;t get past Midori.)<br><br>And we didn&apos;t have wild stuff like someone trading gift subs in Granady&apos;s chat for people to use their primes on Lars which happened one day in the first month. &nbsp;Also, Amazon prime free trials are only 1/year, so could only be done in the first month.<br><br>During the first month, there were some pretty heroic efforts to keep the challenge alive. &nbsp;Having a concrete goal of finishing before the EWC break gave chat a goal of not letting that happen. &nbsp;After that, some people keeping it going said they wanted to see Deep Dip 1 (whose ID, 81283, is the 7954th prime). &nbsp;No official deal ever happened about playing DD1 if people agreed to not prime, but Lars did give Deep Dip a few attempts after finishing. &nbsp;It was the biggest milestone that got talked about which we didn&apos;t actually reach during the challenge, after Chroma&apos;s Hell, and various updates.<br><br>-----<br><br>During the first 50 hours, Lars still had plans to maybe make one huge long YT video out of the challenge, but eventually it just got to be too much, and his SSD was filling up with 2TB of local recordings. &nbsp;The VODs will live on YT forever, links at the top of this comment for start/end. &nbsp;Lars could potentially make a playlist of them.<br><br><br>Edur created a stats site using AI to scrape text from the VODs. &nbsp;Links in YT comments get silently deleted, but the site involved larsprime, edur (the creator), and &quot;ninja&quot;<br>Lars reviewed the stats there at the end of the challenge, and in more detail the next day, Sep 22nd, so you can probably see the link there in the VODs. &nbsp;(Trying again to repost this comment, first time still fell afoul of YT&apos;s filters.)<br><br>The infamous &quot;9 is prime&quot; meme (and the primeNumblars twitch emote with our favourite shiba inu holding up number cards) stemmed from a brain-fart early in the first day after beating map ID 7 (the 4th prime) at about 30m30s in the first stream.<br><br>(Lars, feel free to copy / adapt any of this text for the description of a video talking about the prime challenge if you make one, like maybe with the start and end and the stats review.)
