  A lot of people say the interviewer was too rude, but I see it different. David is direct, not disrespectful. What we’re really watching is how Devon reacts when he’s confronted with his actions. Devon thinks he’s taking responsibility when he talks about them on his own terms, but the moment he faces critique, the fragile sense of control breaks. His agitation and anger show that he can’t actually hold that responsibility. What comes up unconsciously is paranoid hostility, he feels pushed, under attack, and it quickly turns into suspicion and anger at David. That’s his way of avoiding the unbearable weight of truly holding responsibility. I do think Devon is trying in his own way, but he has a long way to go with therapy. We’re talking about a double murderer tied into Atomwaffen, a network connected to terror plots on synagogues and nuclear plants and linked to double-digit murders, so David being confrontative is honestly the least shocking thing in the room.

  His narcissistic inability to tolerate criticism is so palpable. Wouldn&apos;t take much to make him so indignant it sparks outrage.
