  The title is a bit misleading, since he had a plan before coming to Japan. He has been hired as an English teacher with a flat secured by the school.

  My wife and I moved to Japan without knowing Japanese. We lived there for three years and learned what we could while living there. We lived in the countryside and made so many friends. The pace of life is slower in the countryside and people are always looking to make friends. We were very involved with the community. We would host cooking/baking classes. We also did group English classes for 5-8 year olds. We had an amazing time.

  Japan sounds like the perfect place for me, I hate when people make small talk, I&apos;ve never had or made friends all the years I&apos;ve lived in america. It sounds amazing that I can go to a place and people will just leave me the hell alone. if I wanted to socialize id go to a social event, which I never have. Living a serene life in the country where people predominately keep to themselves is something I&apos;ve always dreamed of.

  Awesome guy with a fantastic attitude about life and living. &nbsp;Much wiser for his age. &nbsp;Love his idea of not over researching a place before you go, but just go and experience on the fly.

  What a great video! it went over so many questions people might have as they are pondering this move / transition to Japan. <br>Learned a lot and I think Jovany has a great perspective and learned experience to educate others. &nbsp;His students must love him.<br>This question is for Jovany: &nbsp;How can I get into tourism? Can we chat? &nbsp;I already speak some Japanese. and I don&apos;t need a visa sponsorship.

  He left the part about the best part of the health insurance. Medicine is super cheap and you can get help right away.

  I’m a Japanese Obachan who is up for small talks. I end up chatting to someone in a queue, in a shop, on a train. &nbsp;Tokyo and Kanto people are harder I find though I.lived there for years and have many friends there.

  Respect..! This guy was Kool and I liked his approach. Be human and the world will open up to you. He seems to be proof positive this concept, or way of navigating life, is true. Of course, it helps to be handsome and have a totally positive attitude and a never giver up one. His smile says it all..! We need more people like Jovany in the world..!!
