  I’m an American who used to teach English as a second language to adult students from around the world. The Persian students from Iran were some of the kindest, most worldly and educated, and some of the only students who invited me into their home and cooked their country’s food for me and other teachers. My heart is with the people of Iran. I dream of a world without borders, weapons, and lying politicians. I dream of a world where all people can sit around a table as friends in the Persian style. Iranian people, please be safe.

  I am from Egypt, and my tears are endless for what is happening now in Iran — for the babies, the mothers, and the brave young men who are simply doing their work, yet face the most powerful weapons on earth. America has been targeting you since you refused to give up your resources, from Mossadgh until today. I know you are a great and ancient nation, and you will rise again — but my tears will not stop falling until you do.
