Fun Fact: Yumi actually does more damage than Kei, but it's only by a few decimals

PLEASE SONY, PLEASE PUT APE ESCAPE 3 ON PS5

Konami has gotten so much love as shown in the past PlayStation direct, so it’s not like the metal gear game mode is stopping them

Please just port the game to ps5 like the past ones that were on the PlayStation store, or just release a full on ape escape collection

It would take basically no work, just port the existing game files and put them on the PlayStation store or in a collection

Same with the ps2 or psp version of force unleashed

Such a memory trip. I remember as a kid being enchanted by the game, especially for how it looked and the different style, skit, more anime-like.
But also I remember the game being incredibly hard to find ( and still is )

Loved the video, but I got kinda misled by the title. I thought this was gonna be some dev history of why we never got a 4pe Escape, but as an analysis of Ape Escape 3 as a sequel to the 2nd, this was an awesome vid! Great work

A lot of people like to argue that fans mainly like dropped series like these due to the nostalgia they had for it, but as someone who literally only discovered the series less than a year back (starting with 3), I'm absolutely in love with it. No game comes close to the whimsy I felt playing Ape Escape 3. I especially adore the art style.
As much as I'd love a 4th entry, I don't think I can trust Sony to make something that tops any of the 3 games.
They didn't care to re-release Ape Escape 2 in a state that's playable, and they didn't bother going through with 3 at all.
Even today it doesn't seem like they know what to do with the series despite constantly mentioning it in other media here and there.
It's sad to see such huge potential just left to rot in a corner like this.
I hope one day the series can receive the love it deserves -- another piposaru spinoff will not do.
...and if it's Sony making it, fat chance they'll expect way too much in return, refuse to market it properly, and then deem it a failure as an excuse to shut down the series for good in order to dump more piles of money on their hyper-realistic AAAAA titles.
If only the original team could be reassembled, but sadly everyone left.

1:09 yeah dude this is the same way I found Ape Escape 3 as well. I had some extra allowance or birthday money saved up to buy a new game, and I was at the store and just saw that Ape Escape 3 now existed before me. Since I had loved Ape Escape 2, I didn't take long to decide. I seriously believed that I would be back to that same store at the mall to buy Ape Escape 4 in a year or two.
