  The video contained an error. Hitchcock did NOT want to use his TV crew. He couldn't get financing from a studio. He had no choice. He had to finance the movie himself, and he had to use his TV crew, purely for budgetary reasons.

  Excellent video!!!<br><br>And that stuffed mommy / mummy head... yeah, it&apos;s been the very first and probably also only film that ever traumatized me.<br><br>I must have watched it for the first time in the late 60s, I was about 7 or 8, on TV, alone, and I was so scared that I couldn&apos;t look at the stuffed head, at all.<br>You have to remember that back then we and with us sadly also our children weren&apos;t so desensibilized towards violence and most especially towards death -at least in Europe where I grew up.<br><br>Over the years I watched it plenty of times, but ... it took me ages, I figure well into my early 20s that I finally looked at the mummy head for the first time...<br><br>Still one of the very best movies I could name.

  Excellent!!! How many kids kill their mothers its astonishing. Killing your parents , your mother or your father is horrifying , the thought is just so unaccaeptable to us as a society .

  Epic flim 1960<br>I wonder if Alfred knew perkins dark secrets back then 1960<br>The reason he played this perfect phyco<br>Perkins knew how to play innocent<br>Just may be<br>Perkins was the real Norman bates ❤<br>We never know<br>Alfred was genius picking his actor and actress<br>Perkins was perfect<br>With his creepy smile ❤

  Anthony Perkins had his career ruined because of &quot;Psycho&quot;. He was a romantic lead in several &nbsp;movies before.

  Vince Vaughn! What a terrible casting job! I don&apos;t think people like Hannibal. &nbsp;I think they might be fascinated by the horrendous in general, but if people had good feelings about Hannibal, it&apos;s because of Hopkins&apos; portrayal. The same about Perkins. I could never watch the shower scene.

  I don&apos;t understand why people ever though Psycho was scary. I&apos;m an old lady, and it wasn&apos;t scary even back then. It&apos;s a pretty boring movie, far from one of Hitchcock&apos;s best. Back then we&apos;d watch it and laugh at how bad it is. <br>There&apos;s no explaining what catches on with the masses. People seem to want to be afraid of the weirdest things, like that year when all the Gen Z kids were pretending to be terrified of holes because it was considered cool to be afraid of holes. I think people were told that Psycho was scary, so they wanted it to be, and they went along with it, and it stuck.
