RIP John Tenta, I heard once that he hated being a heel because it upset him when little kids were scared of him. Isn't that just the sweetest story of a big guy just being the nicest dude in the world?

Bam Bam Bigelow went from headlining wrestlemania 11 to jobbing to goldust a few months later.

Honorable mention goes to Pedro Morales. Under Vince McMahon Sr., he was a main eventer and a Triple Crown Champion. But when Vince Jr. bought the WWF from his father, Morales was used as a jobber to the stars. While he won against other jobbers, he would lose to superstar wrestlers.

So sad how many of these guys have passed away. Viscera, Earthquake, Mike Awesome, Yokozuna…😢

Tenta as Golgo was funny. This was before the internet ruined everything and everyone was like "Is that Earthquake? I don't know." Then one week he did his finisher and I got really excited to see that it was him!

WcW employed a multitude of old stars as jobbers......Greg valentine and Bobby Eaton are two of the most notable. I had no idea they were once big stars when they were constantly jobbing out on Saturday Night lol

Jake Hager/ Jack Swagger is another good example. WWE would only build him up high enough to lose to Rusev and Alberto Del Rio, respectively.

Vladimir Kozlov and Ryback are two examples of guys who were pushed too far too soon. This underscores the importance of secondary titles like the intercontinental title as stepping stones and a way of testing the waters to avoid failed pushes.

Tenta is amazing and, compared to Yokozuna, much better about safely doing that drop on opponents. Also wrote a great foreward for the book "Wrestlecrap," a great exploration of the worse gimmicks in wrestling.
