For a 100.00 dollars a car, you would think that Lionel would actually put operating doors on that box car.

I remember my grandfather telling me about all the Christmases where he would only get one or two things from Lionel (individual engines or rolling stock) and finally had a complete passenger express and freight train by middle school.

Maybe those centerbeam flats are K-Line? They don't look quite scale, but they don't look O-27 either.

The Centerbeams were the opera windows - older units. They may have had only journal boxes, if Lionel is following prototype.
