What really stood out to me in your review was mentioning that u aren’t a huge fan of Liam’s (the main singer) vocals which is totally fair. But it also explains why the band might not be for you because whether people wanna admit it or not Liam’s voice was a HUGE reason for Oasis’ success. Noel Gallagher (older brother, occasional lead vocalist who sings Don’t Look Back in Anger, main songwriter) once said that now that he looks back at it he realizes that the band was “at its best when Liam’s voice was at his best”. So yeah it’s interesting to see how Liam’s vocals alone have such a big impact on whether someone loves or is eh about Oasis. I know this goes for any singer of any band but I think Liam’s voice has a bit of a bigger impact on the bands sound compared to the average frontman. The amazing thing is that the songs that Noel sings on bring a nice change for people that may not be huge on Liam’s voice. Nice reaction! (Nevermind next pls)

Saw them in Manchester last year all the way from Texas! Liam’s voice was great and Morning Glory has long been my favorite from this album. Trip of a lifetime!

Their final album "Dig Out Your Soul" has always been one of my favorites from them. It's a much more mature and polished sound from them and a departure from the minimalist production they had on Morning Glory/Definitely Maybe era albums. It's a very textured, diverse soundscape they produce all along with fantastic songs. Please do that album at some point.

Don’t look back in anger in the UK anyway is absolutely massive, bigger and more loved over wonderwall, lots of references to their life and other people,
The intro is basically Lennon imagine, start a revolution from my bed again nod to Lennon

Most Oasis fans would probably agree with your wonderwall comments, it's a song that appeals to the "normies" more than the proper fans which is probably why it has become so well known.

Never worry too much about about the lyrics - they are just another instrument.
Don’t look back in anger is an anthem - play it anywhere in the UK or Ireland and by the end everyone has joined in - 15 to 65, it’s the best live be track by a country mile.
Just subscribed, great reaction.
❤️👍🏽👍☘️

Noel wrote don’t look back in anger for a girl he had a short fling with in San Francisco after leaving the band for a bit of time after a terrible show. He built such a deep connection with her but eventually faded as he moved back to England and joined the band again. When he went to San Francisco again to preform, he had now met his then future wife but wanting to stay friends, the other woman said “don’t worry, I won’t look back in anger” (because Noel was being distant that night)

2 other songs were written about her that we know of.. talk tonight and morning glory but this woman is the reason oasis is still together because when Noel left, she encouraged him to get back together
