  In 1994 i went to the cinema 50 TIMES. 50. Almost once a week. And almost every time i saw a certified classic film. In 2026 i have been once.

  This is why I started to watch classics 1930’s-1950’s and am obsessed with them now, from how the men and women treated each other (they are much more respectful than many think), the women are feminine, the men are masculine, fantastic story telling, fantastic writing with many great one liners, not much cursing, way better dressed and modest but complementary to the actors and actress.

  Hollywood becomes boring since it embraces extreme wokeness. Movies have always been political since the dawn of time, yes we know that, but at least back then Hollywood still knows how to be entertaining and enjoyable. These days, Hollywood is too hellbent on pushing the &quot;message&quot; that they have completely abandoned the entertainment aspect of their movies. Movies have become too preachy and too serious for their own good that they have become so boring and devoid of any fun and excitement. And what&apos;s worse is that Hollywood has become more and more divisive in recent years. Instead of making movies for all people to enjoy, now they only make movies for people who share their political view/ideology while alienating/demonizing the rest. No wonder half their audiences are fed up with them and have decided to abandon Hollywood for good.

  Well the entire Hollywood apparatus is like 95% nepotism at this point. There is no more merit in anything they produce which is why even if normal people can&apos;t quite articulate why something is bad or low quality, they just know it.

  There were a lot of actors and writers from the fifties and sixties who had background including serving in WWII. That definitely had some impact.
