I can't think of a better way to bow out of her career than dancing to a countdown on a round red stage with dancers going around it... MESMERIZING

She doesn't stop moving her body for even a second. There is constant motion. And her physical freakish athletic ability is just off the charts. I never get tired of watching this. She was France's Prima Ballerina and it's hard to believe she was 51 in this video, her last group performance (her next performance was her last, which was a solo). It's uncommon of for a Prima to last this long.

I don't think I have ever seen a dancer inhabit a piece of music so totally as she does in this masterpiece. Absolutely SUBLIME!!!❤❤❤

I can't imagine what she felt with this countdown, her last show, her last dance.I guess I love her for this. living the last moment with courage and dignity.

 時々無性にみたくなる。昨夜はEテレで2023年パリオペラ座の上演を放映。アマンディ・アルピッソンでした。

I was extremely lucky that I was present at this amazing performance in Tokyo on Dec 31, 2015. I still remember the moment that this standing ovation erupted at the very end of the performance and lasted for a few minutes to celebrate her last performance and New Year's. Some people in audience were even in tears, presumably feeling how lucky they were to witness this blessed performance. The memory has turned out to be even more valuable now given that ongoing COVID situation is still prohibiting the event like this.

This is the first time that I have been abler to grasp that what Nikos Kazantzakis said about beauty was correct.
Beauty is merciless. You do not look at it, it looks at you and does not forgive.
Nikos Kazantzakis

 一年が終わる寂しさと、新しい一年が来る希望と、それらが混じった不思議な感情が赤い円盤から湧いてるような感じです。
