The last known case of molestation at ampleforth was committed by Fr Gregory in 1992. In 2012, Fr Gregory
Returned to the school to fulfill his monk vows. The school didn't inform any of the parents, the only way mine found out was when I told them, my father was curious.

Take a guess who was involved in the latest case of molestation... And who was protected by the church for their actions once again.

If these monks truly aspire to follow example of Christ, then they need to live to his standards. In my experience there won't be true consequences for what these men have done; but If god is real, I take solace knowing he has a fitting punishment waiting for them on the other side...

This is so disgusting. Those students should be compensated. The school will go bankrupt and they'll get no money for therapy

The C of E did not receive the treatment which in prejudice and malice is meeted out to Ampleforth. Sexual abuse is extremely unacceptable. The school exists as a Benedictine school. Why should there be separation? The monks are not house masters and married couples fill that role. All the public schools including the much larger C of E and universities had a unspoken culture of covert sexual abuse for centuries. The monks Ampleforth hold this to be repugnant and those who do this must be held to account. The school is now coeducational which is another set of problems. The school has a set of safeguarding procedures in line with established norms. It even has an expoliceman on the staff to monitor this. Having destroyed Downside Abbey and causing innocent monks to pay the price of the deceiving perpetrators they want to snuff out Ampleforth. The majority of these monks live very good devoted lives. Does the lapsed C of E establishment want to achieve what Henry XVIII set out to do. It seems so!

"Well, brother Clive, we're both pedophiles. How do we make this work out a bit better for us?"
"Brother Angus, it's simple. They come and live with us"

At one time such monks would have been whipped.

And they were also caught fee-fixing with other schools. So they fleece families economically while they molest their children.

Close Ampleforth College. Close it now. Jan Cerny W63. The fees were huge and the money went to the construction of the new abbey church. The food was nothing special. The accommodation was dilapidated. The teachers did not know their subjects. My father had a good job but never seemed to have any money. For god sake close it now.
