  In Greece especially during the 1990s there was a great influx of American former NBA players in our teams, players like Brad Sellers, Xavier McDaniel, Walter Berry, Roy Tarpley, Cliff Levingston, Eddie Johnson and Scott Skiles to name a few. with the most random case of two-time All Star Jeff Malone playing for the newly promoted to the first division team of VAO (which stands for &quot;Vyzantine Athletic Group&quot;). My personal favourite case was former Detroit Bad Boy and a member of the legendary &apos;95-&apos;96 Bulls John Salley who was to replace Dominique Wilkins as the main attraction in Panathinaikos. He even arrived at OAKA for his first practice with the team with a helicopter, but, like Wilkins he also clashed with coach Maljkovic and he left the team after only 7 games played. Next season Laker showtime legend Byron Scott arrived in Athens and helped Panathinaikos to win the Greek League for the first time in 14 years. Especially in the decisive game 5 against PAOK he was the MVP of the match.

  I know about Allen Iverson in Besiktas. But Dominique in Panathinakos that one was a Shocker and even won a EuroLeague in 1996 and hell even Kemba Walker in Europe came completely out of Left Field for me

  Iverson signed with Memphis with the understanding that he would be their 6th man. After a game he acted like this was all news to him, complained about starting, so much so that the team just dumped him. An a-hole
