Crazy shit... I worked out of Basildon ambulance station for nearly a year, went to quite a few overdoses. Always made me think, "damn... Depeche grew up here!". I will literally never forget ditching all my colleagues on a messy night out to go to a way better club than they wanted to go to, and within 5 minutes Personal Jesus came on, and I went absolute nuts! I also distinctly remember coming out to find one of the Irish lads (damn skilled EMT, but an absolute nutcase) dancing on the TOP of a police car without a care in the world, and I pretended not to know him while waiting for the bus at 4am (someone very astutely noticed the look of horror on my face and clocked that I may possible know him...). Good times, Bazvegas was a laugh!

Glad he got the help because he continues to be my main crush. I know Martin writes most is their music now but Depeche Mode in general has been my mood for 40 years. Seeing them at the Santa Barbara bowl was my dream of seeing them. One of the best shows I've ever seen beside Fleetwood Mac, Prince, The Pixies, The Smith's, The Cure and U2.
