Peter Kay came to see a performance of Mamma Mia at the Palace Theatre in Manchester, in which I was playing Harry. He came backstage afterwards and was so incredibly funny and charming. I had to do a scene where I'm wearing a skimpy pair of speedos and emerge dripping wet from the "sea", which made me very nervous about my appearance. So I worked really hard to be toned and lean, and I had about a 15-minute break before I had to go on in that scene in which I did hundreds of push-ups and isometric exercises, so I was quite shredded when I would walk on stage. Peter Kay spots everything, and in a quite gentle way, he endlessly complimented me on my impressive physique, which both made me feel quite proud, whilst at the same time appreciating that he was ribbing me humorously. What a gent.

He had a binge eat disorder for 48 yrs that got out of control.. so he decided it was time to get help for it.. so he did & now hes lost a lot of weight & is healthier for it x
