Small correction: I mentioned that Masaya Hashimoto directed both Asteka I and II. However, from what I can tell, Hashimoto only worked on II and Asteka I was actually made by Tsuneyuki Miyamoto.

Thoroughly enjoyed this video, very nice work! I've bumped into Micro Cabin and Mystery House a few times while researching Square's early history and their partnerships under the Disk Original Group for the FDS so it was really awesome to see a video that expanded on this game and the story behind its creation. I'd love to see more content about the Japanese market's adventure games in the 1980s. Thanks for putting this together!<br><br>*there's also small spelling mistake at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SIfrmTSfHuw&t=199">3:19</a> for "Micro Cabin". Not a huge deal, but wasn't sure if there was a way to possibly fix it on YouTube.

Very interesting video.<br>It's quite astounding to think that some of the biggest and well known JRPG series were inspired by an Adventure game from such humble origins, and remains an inspiration to many JRPG franchises throughout the industry to this day.<br><br>Thanks for making this video.<br><br>Cheers.

I was going to mention that I find it interesting that Ace Attorney creator Shu Takumi cites Mystery House as one of his first games he ever played, but you already got to it in the video. Hell, I had no idea that even Chiyomaru Shikura was also one of the people directly inspired by it.

You seriously make some amazing videos. I sometimes actually forget this channel exists, but then I stumble across the user name "bowl of lentils" on giant bomb wikis or something and remember that there's a dude out there that actually makes awesome videos and take the time to do things like fill in web pages for many of these obscure games that I like. Please keep up the good work. Some of us really appreciate it :)
